REBECCA MAGEE

Social Impact Strategist & Facilitator

I work with conscious businesses, nonprofits and individuals to help them identify and take strategic action to create a more socially just, sustainable and resilient world.

My approach is informed by systems thinking, feminine values (like listening and collaboration), and years of experience with nonprofits, social enterprises and socially conscious corporations. And I use that approach in combination with a diverse set of tools to design and facilitate experiences that surface solutions and to build things (strategy! initiatives! community! and more!) from start to finish that restore our relationship to each other and our planet.

In general, I'm known for my ability to thoughtfully coordinate lots of moving pieces, take an idea through execution in a highly organized and strategic way, get shit done, and hold the vision and the values while I do it.

My favorite work has included:
Launching the first corporate grant program to focus on the crucial (and underfunded) intersection of gender equity and planetary health.Leading a global company through their first B Corp certification!Supporting hundreds of social entrepreneurs at Echoing Green and EILEEN FISHER.Co-creating and facilitating an education program at EILEEN FISHER to teach employees about environmental and human rights issues at each step of the product lifecycle, so they could see how their daily decisions contribute to the sustainability of the whole.Guiding women on seasonal retreats from Maine to the Poconos for life-changing time in nature and in supportive community with each other.Founding This I Wear, a sustainable fashion blog that helped readers integrate their personal values into their shopping and clothing care behaviors.
Currently, I’m focused on a few things:
Leading Sister Seasons, which invites women to become collaborators with nature in support of their hormonal health and our planet's health.Booking contract projects starting in Feb. 2021 for clients that need support in project management and leadership of mission-related strategic initiatives from concept through execution.Offering advising services to: (1) businesses interested in pursuing B Corp certification or integrating their mission more deeply into their culture and (2) womxn entrepreneurs seeking to bring in a feminine + regenerative lens to their leadership style, business models and organizational culture.Hosting quarterly gatherings for Austin women working in social impact. Join our community here.Facilitating several communities of women through peer groups, mutual mentorship and more.
